Safety & Security at Swansea Arena

Your safety and security is our top priority. Working together with local and national authorities, security measures at the Arena are under constant review to ensure that they remain effective and proportionate.

Security measures in place include tailored venue search and scan operations, strategically placed security personnel, intelligence led CCTV monitoring.

Please be reassured that whilst you may not see all operational security activity, our team are always working hard behind the scenes to ensure your safety.

In the interests of safety and security, a search and / or magnetic scan will take place. Please allow additional time for this process, we will aim to keep any queues moving as quickly as possible.

The security search process is a condition of entry. Any refusal or the use of abusive, threatening or discriminatory remarks, including comments relating to weapons or explosives will result in access being refused.

Please note that alcohol and unauthorised substances are not permitted in the venue. Such items will be confiscated, and entry may be refused.

A selection of prohibited items are;
- Drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and food (unless required for a pre-existing     condition)
- Weapons of any description (pen-/pocket-knives included)
- Cameras (professional or otherwise, including any cameras with detachable lens)
- iPads and tablet devices
- Bags larger than A4

Bag policy

We advise where possible that you avoid bringing any bags larger than A4-sized to the venue (i.e., rucksacks, suitcases, etc) to the venue as they will not be allowed into the auditorium, and cloakroom space is limited. Any bags larger than this will be required to be stored in the cloakroom at a charge. All bags will be searched before entry is permitted.

Exiting the venue

Upon exiting the venue, please respect our neighbours in the Maritime Quarter and surrounding areas by keeping noise to a minimum and clearing the area as swiftly as possible. The Arena Team will be positioned to assist with any requirements, questions or concerns.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

ATG Entertainment recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and adults at risk, and implements appropriate safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of our visitors.

To help us ensure this we require a ratio of no more than 10 children under the age of 16 to every responsible adult (aged over 18). Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over at all times during their visit, including escorting children to the sales points and toilets, and when seated in the auditorium.

Please remember that our theatre is open to everyone, and as such it is your responsibility to supervise your group as you would in any other public space. This is a condition of sale under our Ticketing Terms & Conditions.

If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to safeguarding during your visit, please ask to speak to the Duty Manager.
